Geel is a community in Belgium that supports people going though tough times with their mental health by supportive families, work and community integration. The whole outlook is more accepting of people who see life a little differently. There is a connection with St Dymphna from Ireland. There is a similar program in Sweden called – Healing Homes.
Wish our NHS would visit these places and makes very overdue changes
Mental health care needs more funding desperately and maybe more vision
Its not an easy thing to talk about but anyone can be effected at sometime in their life.
