“French artist Denis Tricot interprets movement of the elements through Nymans landscape with his elegant wooden sculptural installations”
We went with many others to see this sculpture, weaving its way around the ruins in Nymans. To be honest my reaction was horror seeing these rough planks weaving their way around the very fragile ruins.
But walking round the building to the other side, perhaps began to understand what he was trying to achieve. maybe you have to imagine being deep in amazonian forests with creepers winding in and out of old mayan ruins. wondered mostly how they managed to position the planks without the masonry falling
Tomorrow is the last day and then they will be burned as a gesture towards the anniversary of the fire which destroyed the Messel home in a ceremonial burning in the evening.
