Water Vole – Riverbank

Water Vole - Endangered Animal

Not sure why – but we made a water vole with own home (made from raffia) lined with dried autumn leaves on a small pile of wooden logs

The Vole had own blackberry to snack on (fruit – not a mobile phone). It did sell.

Water voles are only distantly related to rats. They have a chubby face with a blunt nose and short furry ears.

Worried our Fluf might snack on it – anything that looks like a vole – is living on borrowed time. (and he did, we tidied him up and the buyer didnt seem to notice)

We have a healthy population of Voles in our garden who are main interest for our cats, althou sadly for Fluf – he is an indoors cat and imagine the vole population must be doing better because these kamakazi little chaps come thru holes indoors… from time to time or perhaps Fluf has stashed them for a rainy day or slightly worrying, they live indoors too.
