Cautionary Tail

Scary tail of a paper carrier bag..

Came home with a lot of things in a carrier bag and our little Fluf
being curious went straight into the empty bag.

I was distracted with the things that had bought and because we know
he loves to go into bags and boxes we wernt worried.. until
he hooked his head thru the paper handles and like something from
a cartoon he was off..

the faster he ran thru the house, the more the bag rustled and the
more scared he got.

It all happened in a few minutes – he threw himself around the house
to try and loose the frightening thing making the noise

Our Christmas tree almost fell over as he circled this at incredible speeds
and he bounced off the window and ran round the kitchen table a few times

…with me following after him, to try and remove the bag but i couldnt get close

Finally, the bag fell apart and off him and he stood shaking under our
kitchen table – eyes large saucer shaped and steely and the size of a giant fur ball,
hissing and growling.

Later managed to stroke him but felt terrible.

Curiosity is a powerful thing, we are lucky he didnt come to harm and of course
it made us think about effect of waste like plastic bags left outdoors, if a paper bag
could cause this much stress and potential harm.
