Farm stayed with my family last spring, near Amsterdam. We arrived late and took some time to find the farm on the polders. The farmer’s wife showed us in the dark to where we were staying in a converted barn and on the way there we passed the chicken roosting on a low branch of a tree – amazing how they keep their balance when they are asleep. Surprised they didnt wake up – hanging upside down.
Next morning, breakfast was in the kitchen looking onto the milking parlour.
