The thing i just dont understand – apart from indiginous races – native Indians and native Australians later called the Aboriginal people – we are all Migrants. Go back maybe one generation and you will find connection to your ancestors and your homeland.
People leave their homeland for many reasons, some for opportunity and some because they are running for their lives and surely people whose parents have migrated and have an opportunity to help – of all people – should understand and reach out and support those who are also looking for somewhere to call home.
If you pledge to work for the people – listen to them.
Invest in drug programmes not walls. Walls seperate and segregate and dont solve problems – they create them.
The same thinking – if a native people have a sacred burial land – it would be very wrong to look for an opportunity to make money and to violate it.
