Recognising Climate Change vs pack up and move to the Unknown

If the reasons Professor Stephen Hawking feels leaving the safety and resources of a Planet we know, for what will amount to the Few going off into the Unknown are mainly because of Climate Change, Disease, Political Unrest and factors which will be equally a problem on an unknown Planet – why dont we instead finally – all of us – get behind finding solutions to these – on our own Earth

Political unrest, disease, terrorism, asteroids, cosmic radiation, lack of resouces, prejudice, elitism, cultural and religious differences – do any of the Scientists and Mr Hawking think these will disappear in an unfamilar World? Plus many more issues we dont even know about yet.

Taking your unresolved problems to another unknown Planet, is this really a solution?

Perhaps in a stressful environment, these issues will intensify while life expectancy and so time to learn many new things in order to survive an unfamilar World will be reduced.

Wouldnt it be just a little simpler for countrys not in the Paris Climate Agreement to take Climate Change on board?

Finally, whats the point of creating jobs in the Coal Industry – if we dont have a Planet we can live in – in one generation?
