Trying to rationalise last night although christened C of E by a Lutheran mother and sent to different schools including a Catholic convent school and a C of E school with friends who are Buddist, Muslim, Lutheran, Catholic and atheist – is it wrong to absorb the best parts of different faiths?
I dont think it is because overall what all these religions recognise is one God. Think most important is that we try to be happy and at least attempt to do what we know (instinctively) is the right thing. For me, i find peace outside and following Qigong movement and reallise every religion has at some time not been without cruelty in the name of what it is trying to achieve – which is sad.
Feel very lucky to have a multicultural background, some of the time it gives me insight – not always, i am human.
