Notra Dame

Like everyone was shocked and horrified seeing Notra Dame alight but am sure stonemasons and artists will come forwards to help restore this magnificant landmark of Paris.. Perhaps this disastor will have averted a bigger one. Destiny the building closed early this day.

But it must say something how this building has touched the whole World. Own memories of this Cathedral are walking across the rooftops with a guide, very carefully – on a tour of same rooftops alight yesterday to view the secrets and imagining the story of the Hunchback and Esmeralda written by Victor Hugo – my knees were weak and just remember intricate stonework and narrow passages – so high up.

Other times gliding past on the river with the barges or walking on the banks of the Seine visiting the booksellers. Something always so special about Paris. Less happy visiting Hôtel-Dieu very close to the Cathederal on my own a friend taken there unwell – memory of this are about the homeless man who used to also visit my friend and eat the food he coudnt eat. This man showed us his built up shoe and probably talked about ‘la guerre’ and had the reddest robin jumper to keep him warm and big smile – he was happy to be there and off the streets of Paris or because he went out in the daytime and came back with bottles stashed under his coat.
