Deer – Richmond Park

Deer - Richmond Park -m.joy

There is something about this park, that is worth long drive from home. On an autumn day its like a Lowry painting, with people walking dogs, jogging, cycling and flying kites among the gnarled old trees and views down to the Thames with London in the distance.

We drove around the Park on a grey late November day hoping to see the deer – you are not allowed to stop your car except in a parking place, so this photo is taken on the move. We heard at this time of year they hide in the forest and think i would too, as this is when the deers are culled to bring the population down to a fairly impressive 660.
