Baby bird

There is a family of blackbirds living in a honeysuckle bush on the back of our house. This is the first time they have nested there perhaps because this bush has become a little overgrown. The parents swoop in and out of the nest with a wiggly worm and call to each other when they are outside in nearby trees or sitting on a table.

We would like to help them but stop ourselves incase any food we left out might attract squirrels and rats.

Today it is pouring with rain and we can hear the baby blackbirds calling for food – the ground is soft and probably the parents are working overtime, to  fatten them up for launch day.
