While ago, wondered why hornets were visiting our roof – now understand animals and insects we didn’t get before are moving further north and some we used to get are dying out or moving even further north and mosquitoes have arrived which can be vectors.
Despite their bad press – when we encouraged hornets inside the window to leave or just were in the room with them, they were very gentle although sounded terrifying – think they were relieved they had found a way to escape and carry on their plan whatever it might be and as they flew away into the garden could almost imagine it was happily. Unfortunatly they like to eat bees and thats not a good thing.
Reallised if we hurt one, we’d probably have the whole pack after us
Thinking about the ‘why us’ or ‘why me’ though understood there are not enough hollow trees in our area.
Hornets used to be rare in the South East. Also looked for a significance and found a website about animal symbolism and encountering a wasp, worse a whole nest of hornets could be seen as a sign to express yourselves more clearly, align with your goals, stop procrastinating and reach your potential and consider how you communicate.
They are also master architects and maybe a symbol to encourage you to build on your dream. Or perhaps just that our attic when they’ve finished with us, will look like a hangar at Heathrow Airport.
The attic they had chosen was above my son’s room. Hoping its true that hornets dont come back to old nests.
