In Germany especially and other European countries there is big following of natural products to help your body get well. High streets have equivalent of our pharmacies – with shelves of different herbs and flowers – some to drink as teas, some to use for massage and some to put in a steaming bath.
When we fell over, we had a chamomile poultice on our knees to draw out inflammation and when we had a tight chest, we were encouraged to put a little – Olbas oil – on a a hanky near where we slept, from Switzerland with clove, eucalyptus, juniper berry and mint oils. or just Peppermint oil
If you are fit and strong, hopefully your body will recover with sleep, steamy baths or sauna and plenty of fluid – fresh ginger or (lemon) green tea, Go easy on the ginger tea. Its about things with more antioxidants and give dairy food – a miss.
