Superstition is strange thing. Being born on a day considered unlucky or one that only happens once every four years or non existent house number 13 in a street or cinema. Superstition becomes even more so when times are tough because people want reassurance but most (nearly all) have rational explanation. You make your own luck but some things are difficult to explain.

Today met Hector – a small brown spaniel who wondered into our garden while happily face down weeding, he looked surprised when called him by his name but heard him being called. The man asked me if we had a dog. Wondered if should tell him about loose fierce dog that would have his dog for breakfast but looked up and he already was gone. Controversial but wonder if dogs are like their owners. Cats don’t need their humans in same sort of way.
