Last week, end of May temperatures so warm in south UK – window walls upstairs so warm – almost couldn’t touch. Then yesterday dark skies and distant rumbling turned into a storm that caused our Sussex garden to turn white with hail stones and flooded with torrential rain. Noticed a rabbit sheltering under our wheelbarrow until sideways rain and wind became too heavy. So cold, thought about turning the heating back on. Today, prediction in South of England is for thunder and lightening all day and in about a week, towards the middle of June – temperatures predicted to go up again. Strange.
